A cross between a bluegill and green sunfish. This fish is aggressive and fast growing eating natural foods and processed feeds. Hybrids grow about the same as bluegill, maybe a bit faster. Because it is a hybrid it does not reproduce very well being a 95% male. What reproduction is derived reverts back to its original parents in just a few generations. For this reason it should be stocked as a supplement to your bluegill population (10%) or at 500 to 1000 per acre. Hybrids must be restocked periodically to keep a population in your pond or lake.
