Who We Are

Producers of Quality Fish for Recreation and Aquaculture

In 1981 we began when Paul Williams and his business partner, the late Ed Owen started producing channel catfish fingerlings for local growers. Since then we have grown to be the only producer of triploid grass carp in Georgia. Today, Brian Simmons is the CEO of Owen and Williams Fish Farm. We specialize in providing fish for stocking lakes and ponds.

Triploid Grass Carp

Used as a biological means of aquatic weed control in farm ponds and lakes. In most cases, if stocked at a rate of 10-15 per acre, these fish can control all of your weed problems within a year's time.
Largemouth Bass-Consulting

Largemouth Bass

We carry the F1 bass fingerlings. These are available in the spring of the year (May) Bass should be stocked at a rate of 35-50 per acre. For trophy bass ponds you want to stay closer to the 35 per acre.
shellcracker

ShellCracker (Redear)

A fun sunfish to catch. Best if stocked in ponds 3 acres or larger but can be stocked in smaller ponds. Should be stocked as a supplement to bluegill population no greater than 10% (EX. 1000 fish 900 bg and 100 sc)
Channel Catfish -Fish

Channel Catfish

Channel catfish are a fun and easy fish to stock in your pond. The stocking rate truly depends on the pond owner and how much they like to catch catfish. Generally stocking rates are 500 to 1500 per acre.
Redbreast Fish

Redbreast

If redear andor redbreast are desired, put 20% of these to the number of bluegill stocked.

Crappie

Crappie or white perch are a fun sunfish to have in your pond or lake. They do better in larger bodies of water, 3 acres or more, but can be found in smaller ponds. We recommend stocking 50 per acre.
bluegill

Bluegill

This is the life blood of all good ponds or lakes. The bluegill AKA Copper nose/Bream is a sunfish that most people identify with in a fishery. This is a food source for your bass population and for the supper table. We recommend stocking 500 to 1000 per acre.
Threadfin- Fish

Threadfin Shad

Shad are an excellent source of forage for farm ponds and lakes. Size ranges from 1-7 inches. A load of shad consist of 7-10,000 fish and a single load will treat up to a ten acre pond.
